28 Weeks!!!

This post is for all of you that keep asking for belly pictures. I have not felt like the cute prego person at all!!! I feel like pregnant bellies are so cute on other people, just not on yourself. So this is the very 1st picture I have taken of this pregnancy. Other than having a big belly, I love being pregnant! It is so fun to feel her move around inside of me and for Aaron to feel her too. We can't wait for this sweet little girl to join our family. I have been feeling great for the most part. Although I did go to the store this week and buy a body pillow because I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable at night. I can't believe that we only have 12 more weeks. Time is flying by so fast! We still don't have a name picked out... Suggestions are always welcome!!!!

Happy Valentines!

This valentines day was so great! I had to work the night before and when I got home that morning there was a note on the door for me. Aaron had written a long poem that was kinda like a treasure map. Each sentence was a clue but boy was it hard to decipher! I made us a yummy valentines breakfast and tried to figure out the clues while we ate. I had no idea Aaron was so creative! haha. Well, after breakfast Aaron went off to school and I continued to try and figure out the rest of the poem. I got most of it by the time I needed to start on this quest, which was exactly 11:55. The clues led me to a salon! Aaron had made an appointment for me to get my hair done! I was thrilled! I needed it so bad! After being pampered I went home and set up his scavenger hunt around the house (doing scavenger hunts is kinda our valentines tradition) and then went straight to bed since I hadn't slept yet from working all night. When he got home from school he did his scavenger hunt and got lots of goodies and a new pair of slippers. Aaron had a big physics test the next day so we ended the night with some Cafe Rio take-out. I love valentines and I love my valentine! He is seriously so wonderful and such an amazing husband! XOXOXOXO!!

Grandpa Bud

My grandpa passed away in his home on January 24th. He was surrounded by lots of his family when he passed and Aaron and I feel lucky to have been there. It was very surreal but spiritual experience. You could tell that the heavens were so close. About ten minutes after he passed Elder Holland came over (they have known each other for about 40 years) and gave a very wonderful prayer/blessing with all the family. That night my cousin and I stayed the night with my grandma and over the next few days our entire family came into town. It was so great to be with our family to celebrate Bud's life. It was like a family reunion. The viewing and funeral services couldn't have been more perfect. The musical numbers that were performed at the funeral were so amazing! And all the speakers did such a great job. Bud's daughters spoke first, then his stepdaughters, then his CEO of AMSCO, and then Elder Holland. These are a few things that I remember from Elder Holland, but because it was almost a month ago I forgot the details. I wish I would have wrote them down that night.

• Don't get too comfortable here in this life. This is not our home.
• We shouldn't be crying for Bud because he is in a happier better place. Our tears should only be from the memories of him that we will miss. 
•  There is only 3 things we take from this life to the next. Character. Ordinances. Family.
• He spoke directly to the grand kids saying that we need to make sure we do everything to return with our families. Family was the number one thing to grandpa Bud and he will be so sad if there are any chairs empty. 
• He told stories of Grandpa Bud. He said if there was randomly a pair of shoes on his door step he knew exactly who they were from. (Bud LOVED to shop for other people)

At the cemetery they had a few men from the military there. One played bag pipes as they brought the casket and then the others did an amazing job folding the flag that was on the casket and giving it to my grandma. It was a really neat thing to have them there. 

    

Grandpa Bud was the most kind, loving, even tempered, caring person that I have ever known. I will miss his soft hands, kind words, kisses and hugs, and sweet presence. He lived and amazing life and was an example to so many. I know that he is happy on the other side though and is probably loving being hard at work!

Coyote Hunting

In January Aaron tried to get in as much coyote hunting as possible before school started. 

Boy's trip!

 I got to go on the next trip.

The Sharp Shooters that didn't get to shoot nothing but cans.

 We saw hundreds of sheep with these crazy looking big sheep dogs.

 The Nevada-Utah border. 

He always has to explore in places we aren't supposed to. It ended up being a run down copper mine that might be starting back up again. The claim owners and a couple investors were up there and Aaron loved talking with them and picking their brains about the ore and mining plans.

No coyotes! Still fun to be out though. 

Christmas in NV

This year we were able to go home for Christmas and we were so excited! I had to work the last two Christmas's which was a major bummer so it was super nice to have this year off. We were there for 6 days and made sure to get everything in that we could.

Friday:

Visited my BFF in Vegas

 Went to an amazing sealing at the temple.

Celebrated my Mom's birthday at olive garden.
And then went back to Logandale for grandma and grandpa Johnson's Christmas party.

Saturday:
Aaron, his dad and my dad did projects all morning. Fixed the brakes in the suburban, fixed a leaky roof, and I can't remember what else. That afternoon we acted out the nativity with my family and then went to the Dalley's for Christmas Eve dinner.

Sunday:
We woke up at 630 to open presents with the Dalley's before they went to church. Then we stopped by grandma and grandpa Waite's. Then headed back to my house for brunch.

Mom and dad cooking up a storm. We had scones, egg casserole and fruit.

Then we went to church and came home to open presents.

That night we went over to grandma and grandpa Dalley's (who are on a mission) to say hi to everyone there, and we got to skype with them!

Monday:

We went to Gold Butte with my family, the Dalley's, the Bunker's, G&G Johnson and the Christensen's

It was such a fun/adventurous day. Aaron and Cole rode their motorcycles all the way out there, we got a flat tire on our way there and the Christensen's car totally stopped working on our way back. We had a fire and yummy food. The boys tried to shoot some quail while we were out there too. Fun day!

Tuesday:

Went out to Kaolin reservoir.

Played games at my house.

Had homemade ice cream over at the Dalley's with some of our old high school friends.

Wednesday: headed back to Salt Lake.

A & A Christmas

We decided to celebrate and open our presents to each other before we headed down to NV.

 I got Aaron a printer & mouse pad and he got me a pair of fancy cowgirl boots! 

Isn't my husband soooo good looking?!!!! I am one lucky girl!

Ugly Sweaters!

We love these guys! They are one of our closest friends we have made here in Salt Lake and we love getting together with them. We always have such a good time, even if it's just sitting around chatting and catching up.
