7 Months

Claire turned 7 months on 12/12/12
She started cutting her 1st tooth and pulled herself up on her own in the laundry basket... All on this day! Crazy.

December

I have been away from the blogging world for far too long. Life just seems to get busier and busier each month. So I'm going to do a picture dump of December and call it good. December consisted of
  • Photo shoot of Claire done by my good friend Dano.
  • Our 1st trip to Salina. We will be moving there in May for Aaron's internship so we thought we would go check it out and see what places might be available to rent. It's a SMALL SMALL town!
  • Our 1st time visiting Tina, Colby, and Kinley in Price. Claire played in the snow for the 1st time on this trip and built her 1st snowman.
  • CHRISTMAS!! I had to work 5 nights in a row including Christmas Eve and Christmas night but we did our best to celebrate.
  • Aaron got his tonsils out. WORST surgery ever! He couldn't eat for like a whole week. Poor guy. I have never seen him so miserable. I felt like I was taking care of 2 babies haha. Because I would have to get up in the night for him to eat something and take his pills and then get up with Claire too.
  • Elli's baby shower in Logandale. We did a winter/snowflake theme. We had a big brunch and hot chocolate bar.

Logandale Thanksgiving

We went home for Thanksgiving and had such a great time. We were super busy though. Thanksgiving day started off eating at the Johnson's, then pie at the Waite's, then eating again at the Mulcock's and then visiting and I think pie again at the Dalley's. CRAZY! That's what happens I guess when half the town is your in-laws. It was great to be able to see everyone though, we really enjoyed it. The rest of the weekend we played, cut down our Christmas tree, helped my family move out of their house, and went to the movies. It was a go go go kind of weekend. Wished we could have stayed longer.

We found the perfect little tree!!! Brought it from the top of NV mountains back to Salt Lake.

Poor girl face planted in the dirt....

Nielsen, Bergesen and Dalley Thanksgiving / Locks of Love

We started a little tradition with some of our best friends here in Salt Lake. About a week before Thanksgiving we get together and have a Pre-Thanksgiving. The boys deep fry the Turkey outside in the freezing cold while us girls visit inside and munch on cranberry cream cheese and crackers till the Turkey finishes. Have you ever had deep fried turkey?... Seriously SOOOO good! The Nielsen's just moved to Texas and we sure do miss them! Hopefully we can keep up the tradition even though they are so far away. Maybe next year we will do it there ;-)

Claire and her Boyfriend James. They are only a few weeks apart.

I got my hair chopped this same day for Locks of Love. I had been wanting to cut my hair for a while and finally got the guts to do it. They cut 13.5 inches off.

6 Months

Taking these pictures is starting to become a very difficult task. Claire is such a busy body!!! She can not sit still for 2 seconds. It is such a fun stage though, she learns something new everyday. I feel bad that I can't remember the milestones she made because it has been so long since I have blogged. At her 6 month checkup she was 15.06 lbs (25%) and 26.25 inches (75%)

2 years!

We celebrated our Anniversary on November 6th (election day). We got up early to go and vote before Aaron headed off to class. He was gone all day and I was planning on making his gift while he was gone but it took me longer than I thought and I didn't even finish it! So lame! He got home from school around 6 and we were going to go out to dinner but as we were getting ready to leave he got a phone call from the mechanic working on our scooter saying that the guy who owned the shop wasn't being honest with us and had us buy a $350 part for it because he broke even more and that we didn't really need that part..... ugh! So Aaron was on the phone for a while figuring that out then we finally went to dinner. We went to sushi and it was delicious!!!! But we didn't get a babysitter and Claire was fussy for most of the time. Then we get out of dinner and find out that Obama is ahead. We get home and Aaron is glued to the computer for the rest of the night with the election stuff. It wasn't the best day. But on a better note... I love Aaron so much! He is seriously the perfect guy for me and treats me so well even when I don't treat him very well. He is my best friend and I am so grateful that we were able to be sealed together for eternity.
